first, you have to enable use the plugin WPBakery in a portfolio post. For that, go to the page ‘WPBakery Page Builder > Role Manager’, in the first option ‘Post types’ select the option ‘Custom’ and finally check the option ‘portfolio’ (Check the first image).
Then, create a new portfolio post, check the option ‘Enable Custom Layout’ and use the elements of WPBakery Page Builder (Check the second image).

One last question regarding this, what determines the order of appearance of the portfolios in the homepage portfolio grid? is it alphabetical? published date? How can I control the order?
