ParticipantHi,
I’ve recently installed Blanco for my Design portfolio website. I’ve installed & activated all plugins. Currently all I see is an advert for Verde on my domain name. Here’s my questions
1. How do remove the Verde count down advert?
2. Can I just setup default Blanco template and edit the content?
3. Please advise on to the areas in WP where I can add nav bar, slider, my folio thumbnails and div boxes for professional.I’m new to WordPress and need to apply for jobs asap.
Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.
All the best,

KeymasterHi,
- Verde is an under construction plugin that you can use if you want to show a previous page before publish the finally theme. If you want to disable the plugin, go to the page ‘Verde Plugin > Configuration’ and edit the first option. The second option let you check the theme while the plugin ‘Verde’ is enabled and you are logged in.
- Of course, you can edit the pages, the sliders, the portfolio post, the blog post and more
- What do you mean about the boxes for professional? The slides can be edited from the page ‘CB Slider’ and added them in the pages with the panel ‘Page options’. About the menu, you can set up it in the page ‘Appearance > Menu’.

ParticipantHi,
In answer to your question, “the boxes for professional” line was a typo in question 2. I meant to say “the boxes for professional information, (such as software skills) ?
I am trying to simply get the Blanco Theme up and running as it appears online, so as can receive the product as purchased. Importing the demo data has not done this yet.
I hope for this to be resolved soon. I have little time. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.
All the best,

ParticipantHi,
Actually the Blanco appears to be installed (view on Chrome browser) but recently there’s been a issue with my domain name registrar which should be fixed within 6-12 hours.
There is lots of talk about using WPBakery Page Builder in the them info. But of course, I do not have a Direct License.
• Is WPBakery Page Builder essential if I want to use all parts of Blanco?
• Do I need to purchase a Direct License needed for WPBakery Page Builder or is access provided with the Blanco theme?Matt

KeymasterHi,
I have checked your website and the theme is not installed. Advise when the the problems with the domain are resolved please.
About the plugin WPBakery Page Builder, it is require if you want to use all parts of the theme. It’s a great a plugin and very useful to create pages. And you don’t need purchase any license. The plugin is included in the theme. Don’t worry about that.

ParticipantHi,
…Thanks…
DOMAIN REGISTRAR
The domain registrar issues were resolved within the timeframe previously mentioned.BLANCO INSTALLATION/strong>
Wordpress is showing me that the theme is both installed and activated. Please explain why you are saying my website does NOT have the Blanco theme installed?WPBAKERY PLUGIN/strong>
I am aware that WPBakery Plugin is included in the theme, but I need to know if I am required to purchase a Direct License needed for WPBakery Page Builder or is full access provided with the Blanco theme (if so how)?Under the Plugins menu (in the sidebar) in WPBakery Page Builder shows as Active… But the WPBakery Page Builder Settings menu, (in the sidebar) still prompts me to activate to the plugin and also shows the following message:
‘In order to receive all benefits of WPBakery Page Builder, you need to activate your copy of the plugin. By activating WPBakery Page Builder license you will unlock premium options – direct plugin updates, access to template library and official support.’
Of course the conflicting information is confusing and I would also like it to be resolved. Helpful advice is much appreciated.
Thank you.
Matt

KeymasterHi,
if you purchase the plugin you will get the same options that you have in the installation of the theme Blanco. The same.
About the support, if there is some error with the plugin in the theme, I am the person to resolve it because I have a extended license to include it in my theme. Not you. So, don’t worry about that.
And about the updates, if there is one new, I have to update my theme with the last version of the plugin. If you want, you can purchase it, no problem. But you will have the same options. Except that you will have support and the last updates directly. But if you update the plugin maybe there are problems with the theme if I don’t update my theme to the last version of the plugin. Changes in the code for example.

ParticipantHi,
Not really sure what you mean there, I assume what you’re saying in that message was:
(A) I do NOT need to purchase a Direct License fro the WPBakery Page Builder plugin as there would be no change?
(B) If there was an error with the version of WPBakery Page Builder that comes with Blanco you could fix it?
(C) To avoid problems I should not update the WPBakery Page Builder plugin until until a new update of the Blanco theme is also availble?
Thanks

KeymasterHi,
All of that is correct. Sorry if I didn’t explain it very well.

ParticipantNo worries, thanks for the quick response 🙂
I have a couple of separate questions:(A) When I go to Appearance > Customize in WP ..I do NOT see a live preview for Blanco. But all the information is still there in the sidebar.
So my question is,
“How can I see the live preview for Blanco?”(B) I’ve noticed that multiple layouts or versions of Blanco all together to (for example, the Pages “Home”, “Home v2”, “Home v3” are all published).
My questions for this are,
“Is there aquick method to switch to use only one of the three layouts?”
OR
“If there is NOT a quick method, how do I identify and switch-off those pages/posts are NOT part of the chosen layout?”Thanks

KeymasterHi,
(A) Really I don’t know why it is no possible to check the theme from the page ‘Appearance > Customize’. I’m going to find the problem and resolve it. Anyway, with the plugin WPBakery Visual Composer it is not the perfect place to modify the pages. The best way is from the edition of the pages, the option ‘Fronted editor’.
(B) I have checked that you are using the video layout. If you don’t want to use the other layouts, just remove them. If you want to recover them, go to the ‘trash’ filter and recover them again.
(C) And one doubt I have, why have you chosen the white color to the opcition ‘Accent color? The background color is white too. It is strange because when the mouse is on some elements as the menu options, the user don’t view them.
