ParticipantHello, First let me say, What a wonderful theme! This theme has the potential to do great things for the web.
I dowloaded the theme yesterday, from Envato, and I’m eager to jump in and get to work. I am following the instructions included in the index.html file. The section entitled, “Importing Demo Data and Configuring as the Demo Site” says to:
* Browse select the .xml file from DemoData and import
Upon completing this step, I received the following “failed to import” messages:
Failed to import Media “image1”
Failed to import Media “mockup_2b”
Failed to import Media “mockup_2a”
Failed to import Media “mockup_1”
Failed to import Media “image1”
Failed to import Media “image2”
Failed to import Media “image3”
Failed to import Media “mockup_3”
Failed to import Media “favicon”
Failed to import Media “video”
Failed to import Media “image2”
Failed to import Media “image3”
Failed to import Media “portfolio1”
Failed to import Media “portfolio2”
Failed to import Media “portfolio3”
Failed to import Media “portfolio4”
Failed to import Media “portfolio5”
Failed to import Media “portfolio6”
Failed to import Media “portfolio7”
Failed to import Media “portfolio8”
Failed to import Media “mockup_2c”
Failed to import Media “mockup_4_new”So After this, I still went ahead to complete the other steps as outlined in “Importing Demo Data and Configuring as the Demo Site.” All those steps were completed successfully. However, when I went to visit the site as instructed, it looks nothing like the demo site. Looks like it could with some hard work, lol!
So can someone please help me figure out how to get back on the right track?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi,
Yes. I installed each of the three plugins first. All of the steps prior to the issue were successful.
Thanks

KeymasterHi Parkmon,
I have tried to import the xml file in my localhost and it works fine. Maybe it is a server error. Have you got a proxy?
I have found a possible solution: http://bit.ly/1uiUX03

ParticipantHello,
I have tried the solution in the link that you provided and that seemed to work. I didn’t recieve any error messages, and for the files that were already there, I got the “already exist” message. So I’m assuming the other files imported successfully.
My only issue now is that when I view the page now, I have double menu items. Would you take a look at my site and see if something is wrong? My site still doesn’t look like your demo, even after the import. My site is parkmonmedia.com I’ll give you the password via a private message if that helps.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Parkmon,
the problem is that you have imported the demodata twice, so the menu links were duplicated. I have deleted and I have set the page ‘Home – Image Slider’ as front page in the option ‘Front Page Display’ in Settings > Reading.
