    Hi,

    So, I have my development website setup with Cian theme. I have all the configuration and UI changes, I wanted and the website is now running fine.

    I am trying to push this whole site to new product server and to a new url, and this is what I did :-

    1) Take backup of the server files
    2) Take backup of the database
    3) Open the database file and replace all “http://OLD_URL.com” to “http://NEW_URL.com”
    4) create a new database from the file in step-3
    5) upload all the files to new server.

    Now, when I try to access my new site, its all broken. When I login to admin on my new site, none of my DEV(old site) configurations are here. Its all the default cian configs.

    So, my question is , What it the official process/ steps of migrating a fully working site with cian theme, to a new server.

    This is urgent and a quick response is appreciated.

    Just to add, that I have already updated new database details in “wp-config” file.

    Hi,

    when I have migrated the content of a WordPress installation to other, I use the option ‘Tools > Export’ and use the option ‘All the content’.

    This option is used to export the content of the pages, posts, contact forms, grid builder, portfolio, sliders and media files.
    Then, in the new installation, use the opposite option ‘Tools > Import > WordPress’.

    And to copy the configuration of the ‘Theme options’ panel, use the options ‘Import’ and ‘Export’ in the ‘Utility’ page.

    I think, you need be more specific here.

    I dropped the existing DB, created a new DB and did the Export(from old) to Import(in new).
    Also, did, And to copy the configuration of the ‘Theme options’ panel, use the options ‘Import’ and ‘Export’ in the ‘Utility’ page.

    But no luck still. My new site is still broken. See here

    Am I still missing something.

    It seems as the pages have been created like posts. I don’t know where the problem has happened. Could you create a new user for me in your admin panel? In the old page and the new. You can send me te data to admin@creabox.es
